“The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.”
(Psalm 145:18, NLT)
It never ceases to amaze me how God draws people to Himself and how easy it is to walk through doors that God opens instead of forcing our way through closed doors. God alone calls people to Himself; we are just blessed to be part of the process.
Prayer: Father of love and wisdom, thank You that You create people with a desperate hunger and longing that You alone can satisfy. Thank You that You draw near to those who call out to You in sincerity. Give us opportunity to share the living, powerful Word of God with all who have receptive, seeking hearts. Amen.

Today I am joining … Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot and Open Sunday Thoughts .
This also reminds me of the joy & simplicity of doing God’s will instead of trying to force our will upon God. Thank you for these thoughts today.
Julie, I love how you worded it … “trying to force our will upon God.” So true. That is just what we do. So much wiser to wait on Him to open doors. Grateful you shared!
Amen to not forcing doors open that are not for us!!! This is an important lesson to be learned every day. God doesn’t want our lives to be as hard as we often make them by not listening to him.
It is so true, Jamie. He closes doors for our own good and to protect us. Far better to leave them shut and wait upon the ones He opens.
Such a good reminder to let God open, or shut, the doors in our life and to trust that He knows best!
Yes, may we let Him be the Doorkeeper š
Joanne,
Oh how many times I’ve tried to barge through closed doors and to exert my will over God’s. Learning (still) to follow HIS leading and walk through the doors that He opens. Great reminder!
Sunday blessings,
Bev xx
I may have done my share of barging š So grateful He is merciful and patient to lead us.
So true! May we always be willing to walk confidently through the doors he opens!
Amen Kym, and may we be willing to wait until the open doors are before us.
Isn’t it funny how we convince ourselves that closed doors just need a good push and instead of waiting, continue pushing? I am so, so thankful we have a Father who hears us when we call, and even better yet, he answers us and guides us through open doors. Thanks for this reminder.
It’s true Evangeline, we do try to convince ourselves to push a little harder. I am so glad I am not the only one. May we learn to wait on Him to open doors and to leave the closed ones in His keeping.
I want to find those easy doors.
I would like a few easy ones myself š But perhaps it is only as the hard ones open that we come to find it was all His doing and give Him glory.
