I am not sure how anyone else feels but I can hardly believe I am at Day 30 of the month long challenge. I am almost feeling saddened to think it will be over. There has been such community and encouragement which has come from doing this along with so many others. And now the question on the table (or actually on my computer π ) is – “How do I bring this to a close?”
And the answer is, “I truly have no idea!”
Seriously.
I have learned so much about prayer and about myself. But more so, I have discovered more deeply Who my God is and how do you put that into words? Are there even words?
Prayer brings a desire by which we want to see the heavens open up to give a glimpse of God. Isn’t that what Moses desired – to see God? Prayer has a way of unveiling our eyes, helping us to see life from His perspective.
Isaiah had a vision. He saw the Lord, high and exalted, the train of His robe filling the temple (Isaiah 6:1).
In prayer we come to realize the glory due Him and the power that is His ….
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his glory!” (Isaiah 6:3, NLT)
And it is in prayer I come to understand more fully how much God cares for me, for each one of us …
“What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human being that you should care for them?” (Psalm 8:4, NLT)
He does care for us even more than we can comprehend. His heart is moved as He hears our cries and prayers. Not a single word goes unheard. Not a single tear unnoticed.
It is in prayer I find my heart filled with a gratitude for all He is in my life, for the many times He has intervened and responded and saved me from myself. It is in prayer I find my heart filled with praise and Him filling every part of my praise.
And so today I pray …
Lord, heighten my spiritual senses to
see that which is not visible
hear that which is not audible
sense that which is not tangible
believe that which is unbelievable.Teach me to sort through
the noises of this world to
hear and discern Your powerful,
wonderful, pure, precious voice.(by Priscilla Shirer)

This is Day 30 of 31 Days Of Going In Circles. You can find the entire series here .
Today I am joining with … Thought Provoking Thursday and Coffee for Your Heart and Thurs. Favorite Things and Hearts for Home .
I’ve so enjoyed your series. We sing that Meredith Andrews song at our church for worship — one of my favorites. π
Thanks for linking up at Thought-Provoking Thursday! π
I had not heard the song until a couple of weeks ago & my thought was that it would make a wonderful song to sing in church. I loved that your church does. I have made note of where you attend so that if I am ever in that area, I can visit there. I have thought from what you post on FB, it sounds like a wonderful church!
so much truth! thanks for sharing this today!
Oh my friend… you are one of the blessings from 31Days for me… getting to know you better and read your heart here! And that prayer… and that song? Yes and Amen!
Karrilea, thank you so much! I have, as well, enjoyed the blessing of meeting you & others. It’s been such a wonderful month for certain!
Joanne,

Dolly, your comments are always encouraging to me. Thank you so much for stopping & sharing. Hoping the song blessed you as well!
Joanne, what beauty you have found in prayer! What depth is reflected in your relationship with our Lord!
And, congratulations on your amazing persistence to post for 31 days! And link up! I’m exhausted just trying to do it for 11 days and didn’t make all of them.
Blessed by your friendship,
Janis
Janis, it has been a month of growth for sure. The Lord knew what I would need & deposited deeply into my heart & mind in preparation. He’s good like that π You have blessed me as well, Janis. I know I have said it, but seeing your smiling sweet face always makes me smile! May He keep you filled with His joy!
